Commencement of Project: Two-Component Isocyanate-Free Primer (2KTBI)
The aim of the project is to develop an isocyanate-free primer that will reduce environmental impact and improve working conditions.a
This is a selected project from the list of all projects designed within the framework of Silco's sustainability and circular business transformation strategy. The purpose of developing isocyanate-free primer material is to significantly reduce the negative impact on workers' health in production and use. There will be less waste contaminated with isocyanates in production compared to use. The purpose of development is also to reduce the consumption of electrical energy and waste heat generated in the process of manufacturing primer material through process optimization. The new primer will be developed using available technologies and raw materials that do not contain isocyanates or where they are not needed for material hardening.
The investment is part of the measures of the Slovenian recovery and resilience plan, financed through the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism (website www.noo.gov.si and www.evropskasredstva.si).
