Evolution of UniMix 20 commercial vehicle mixing system delivers many additional features making the system even more versatile.
Wider range of tinters allows mixing more than 30.000 formulations which are also available as colour cards in extended colour box. These colour cards can also be recognized by a portable paint matching device 94.021 Diamond.
With UniMix 20 tinting system approx. 4.000 formulations are available also for automotive section with a dedicated automotive colour box.
A broad range of UniMix 20 binders allows mixing of different types of coatings; from primers to topcoats and direct-to-metal coatings.

90.100 UniMix 1K Nitro Primer Binder
Anticorrosive primer for steel structural works, coachworks, agricultural machines tools, etc.
- good adhesion to various substrates
- good colour coverage helps for overall coverage of next topcoat layers
- can be overcoated wet-on-wet
- especially suitable as a temporary primer for transport of steel structural works
If better overall resistance (corrosion and chemical) is needed, a 2K primer should be used (epoxy or DTM).

90.200 UniMix 2K Epoxy Primer Binder
2K epoxy-amino primer/topcoat is a structural steel primer for general use. Zinc phosphate delivers very good corrosion-inhibiting properties. It can be used on steel, zinc plated iron, aluminium, plastics, etc. After curing, the resulting film is resistant to moisture, chemicals and abrasion.
Outside use (exposure to UV):
It can only be used as a primer and surfaces must be overcoated with UV stable coating.
Example of application:
Truck chassis, agricultural machinery, structural steel works, marine programme …
Indoor use (no exposure to UV):
It can be used as a topcoat with direct application on different substrates.
Example of application:
Machinery that needs higher chemical resistance, lines on concrete floors, piping …

Glossy 80 %
This DTM binder is used to produce protective coatings based on 2K technology, which can be applied direct onto substrates and combine the features of a primer as well as the quality of the topcoat. The product shows direct adhesion on metals without a previous primer application. Zinc phosphate delivers very good corrosion-inhibiting properties.

Glossy 100 %
This transparent DTM binder does not contain any corrosion-inhibiting pigments therefore it is used to produce coatings, which can be applied direct onto corrosion resistant substrates (zinc-plated, aluminium, brass …).
The product shows direct adhesion on metals without a previous primer application.

90.680 UniMix Effect Paint
2K high quality micaceous effect acrylic paint can be used alone or as a partial replacement of Unimix binders (10 – 40 %). If used alone, this product has no anticorrosive properties.

Use:
Add 10 –40% of paint instead of binder.

90.650 UniMix Glass Additive
Glass additive provides the adhesion of UniMix 2K coatings on glass surfaces. UniMix 2K coatings in combination with Glass Additive can be applied directly to glass on front or reverse side of the glass.
- ensures appropriate adhesion of the coating on glass
- easy to add to the UniMix coating mix
- does not influence the basic features of the coating (drying time, levelling, appearance …)
Use:
Add 5 % (instead of thinner) in the prepared mix of topcoat and hardener.
Example of application:
Kitchen and bathroom glass surfaces, glass worktops, glass partitions and walls, advertising billboards/signs …

90.655 UniMix Orientation Additive
The orientation additive is an additive for mixed topcoats with a higher proportion of aluminum pigments (eg RAL 9006). By using the additive, we improve the distribution and orientation of aluminum crystals, thus eliminating the cloudiness of the painted surface.
Usage:
Add 10 - 15% to the mixed topcoat.
For the mixing ratio of mixed topcoat, hardener and thinner, see the technical data sheet for each mixed varnish or binder.

UniMix Texture Additives can be easily incorporated into different UniMix topcoats to achieve fine textured finish.

90.690 UniMix Retarder Thinner
UniMix Retarder Thinner is a special mixture of solvents for longer open time of UniMix paint where larger surfaces need to be painted. The overspray is easily melted when using 90.690 thinner.
Use:
Add at least 2 – 3 % of to notice the wanted effects.
Up to 10 % of Retarder Thinner can be used when very large surfaces in combination with higher application temperatures. Acrylic Thinners (7050/7070) can also be used together with Retarder Thinner without any problems.
The UniMix 20 Retarder Thinner can be used with all UniMix 20 binders.
Too much of Retarder Thinner can also prolong the total drying time of the paint.
